Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray + African penguins
Trip Summary: It was an early but sunny start for our first diving group today, and fortunately, it was worth it! As soon as we anchored in Joubertsdam, the magnificent Bronze whaler sharks arrived at our diving vessel, Slashfin. All our guests had plenty of time to dive and witness the beauty of these animals. We also had a quick visit from a Short-tail stingray, which remained deeper than the sharks. On our way back to Kleinbaai Harbor, we cruised along the coast and spotted a raft of endangered African penguins. It was a successful day on the water for all our trips!
